More than a mask

During the Covid-19 pandemic many people are graciously responding to needs of doctors and other medical professionals for protective gear. During this trying time, our girls at OEW Hope House™ are making masks for some of the most vulnerable people in our society - those living in homeless shelters and the staff who care for them.

Can you imagine experiencing this pandemic in a homeless shelter? Masks can bring comfort to those who are most vulnerable, sharing with them some sense of protection. Fields of Hope™ is bundling these masks along with our handmade soaps and donating them as "Care Kits" to the staff and residents of the shelters.

When one of our house moms, who is a professional seamstress, volunteered her expertise to help meet these needs, the hearts of our girls immediately turned to that most vulnerable population.

One of our girls, who came to us from a homeless shelter, was especially moved by the opportunity to be able to give back while still being a resident in our program: "This is the time that I repay the kindness, love, and blessings that they shared with me. I really appreciate this. I am so touched right now to be able to do this for me and for other people." - Resident at OEW Hope House™.
